Some of us enjoyed a visit to the DPAS offices in Tisbury. A very idyllic place to work, at one of the country’s oldest thythe barns. DPAS is the company who administer our dental plans, and they have a very friendly team
We have now completed our first year of CQC registration. We are yet to be inspected, but we are feeling confident in our level of compliance. They say that all Dental practice would be inspected within the first three years of registration so watch this space!
Dental Nurse, Kylie has returned to work after Maternity Leave. We are also pleased to have Sandra Williams staying with us on a permanent basis after covering whilst Kylie was off.
This month we have completed our annual team training in CPR, emergency resuscitation.
On Saturday 24th September, the team took part in a sponsored walk to raise funds for local charity ‘Dentaid'. Cath devised and mapped out the walk in the local countryside and the team collected sponsorship and donations in the months beforehand. Big Congratulations to Kylie who passed her National Examining Board For Dental Nurses (NEBDN) National Certificate and is now a fully qualified Dental Nurse. Kylie has worked in our Marlborough practice since 2008 and this comes after much hard work and dedication from Kylie, so well done!
While the Hungerford practice was closed, Vernon and the girls took a trip to the Apollo Theatre in Victoria, London to see ‘Wicked’. An Excellent show which was very enjoyable. Afterwards we went to the Grand Imperial Chinese Restaurant just down the road, which was also very enjoyable; excellent service and the food was wonderful.
